Brixham forms part of Torbay - also known as the English Riviera  http://www.englishriviera.co.uk/  - along with Torquay and Paignton and both these towns offer a wealth of attractions, including Babbacombe Model Village, Bygones Victorian Museum and Paignton Zoo

Regional Attractions

Brixham offers easy access to the beautiful South Hams which includes the towns of Dartmouth, Totnes, Kingsbridge and Salcombe as well as some lovely unspoilt beaches at Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands.

Driving inland you will soon reach the wilds of Dartmoor, great for walking and experiencing one of the UK's most rugged landscapes.  To the north, the cathedral city of Exeter is less than an hours drive and provides an excellent range of shops, cinemas and other activities. 

To the south, the maritime city of Plymouth vies with Exeter as Devon's largest town and recent development include a totally revamped Barbican packed with restaurants and the National Marine Aquarium.

There are some excellent National Trust attractions in the region, including Coleton Fishacre,  Overbecks and Greenway House, former home of Agatha Christie
